Well, no, not really. But you have to admit my kid is pretty photogenic.
Last weekend during #streetmeetLA, Bear was photographed by child photographer, Tina Clara. She took so many amazing shots of him, I honestly don't have a single favorite. Here are some samples of her wonderful work:

It's occurred to me that I'll never really posted Bear's school pictures before. These came out pretty good! But honey, let me tell you...getting this kid to keep still and smile took a lot more effort than I expected it to!
People keep telling me and Maks to put Bear into modeling. We are contemplating it when he's older and he wants to do it (I honestly don't have time
So here's a recap of week two in our semi-vegetarian experiment.
Meal Planning
Meal planning was a lot easier last week than it was the first week. Now that we have an idea on what to eat and not to eat, it was easier to map out dinner. Some of it was still on the fly, but we did stick to the very little poultry plan. I think we had poultry
I have to admit the one thing about this vegetarian (or semi-vegetarian) experiment is the creative and wonderful dishes I've been exploring. Today, I'm about to make a sweet potato soup.
But the other night, I decided to really step out of my comfort zone and make falafel.
The experiment taught me that I do need a better food processor (not all of the chickpeas were blended and required extra blending),
We live very close to Dodgers Stadium, and you would think we would've been regulars, right? Not really. Between schedules and well, Bear, we just haven't had any time.
I like to take a stroll down memory lane on our progression. Kinda heartwarming and funny...
We were just married in this pic. Probably not even a few months.
You can't really tell in this pic, but I was 11 weeks preggo with
So, recently, I had a rather nasty allergic reaction. While I like to try new food and products, I'm also pretty mindful of what I consume. Sometimes, it's amazeballs and sometimes, it really sucks.
I had a rather nasty reaction to a favorite brand of mine, Nivea, and had to immediately discontinue. On the hunt for a new soap wasn't what I would like to call a good time. For
Okay, so let me start off by saying I personally didn't try this. Not that I didn't want to, but I literally just had Panera and was rather full. However, the hubby was starving and well, we didn't have dinner made at home (that would be my fault).
So, a hungry hubby + not a lot of time = I need to think pretty quickly. Off to Google, I go.
I
So, hubby and I just did our first full week of being semi-vegetarians (we're still eating/going to eat) chicken, turkey, and fish, but incorporating a lot more plant-based foods.
How did it go?
Let's break it down by the pros and cons:
Our grocery bill became much nicer! We were spending upwards to $200 a week on groceries (yeah, no lie). So, our first week's bill shrunk all the way done to
It's not like I wasn't vegetarian before. In fact, throughout high school, I was a vegetarian, only eating chicken and turkey, maybe a little fish. Okay, so that makes me a semi-vegetarian.
I only started eating red meat when I was in college and that's because my iron was so low, my doctor literally prescribed me to eat cheeseburgers because I wouldn't take the horse pill that was iron. In
Continuing Clean Living Week here on the blog, is another friend of mine who recently went vegan.
You may not know Dana Young, but you probably have heard of her husband, singer L. Young. He is a ridiculously talented musician who has made several popular YouTube videos:

I've been friends with Dana dating back to high school (keep the age jokes to yourself now). She recently went vegan and I had
