On the days Bear is not in school, we do a lot of lesson plans. Okay, who am I B.S.ing? I try to sit him down long enough for a couple of minutes while I attempt to do lesson plans with him. There, that's more accurate.
Recently, Bear was given an educational gift by the author of Hello Aaaron! Where Are You? Nellie Emrani. It's actually a pretty cool book that
Not really, but it is.
Every year, I always treat the day before my birthday as a New Year's Eve and my birthday as, well, New Year's Day. You know how everyone treats January 1st as the start-over and start afresh? New year, new me, type of deal?
I do that with my birthday.
I feel every birthday is a chance of getting that glow-up on. What better way to figure out
I love NARS. I love NARS. I love NARS. I love NARS. I'm not entirely sure how it was I discovered NARS (I think a Sephora rep gave me their product to try and I was hooked, or at least that's the urban legend I put together in my head), but it doesn't matter.
I love NARS. It's very rare I find a product from them I hate. Well, hate
So, a while back, Bear and I went to visit Kidspace in our neighboring Pasadena. We've never been there before so I didn't know what to expect. I will tell you it was so much fun!
Kidspace is a science-based adventure park where kids can do science experiments, play with insects, and just get away from the tablets and video games. I highly, highly recommend it!

There's nothing like attending a music festival.
My husband and I have attended many over the years. The last one we went to was when Bear wasn't quite a year old. We went to see Parliament Funkadelic and other acts. In fact, I can say Bear's first music festival was when he was a toddler:

And well, I'm contemplating keeping this.
It's been a crazy experiment in our household. Like I've mentioned previously, we decided to go vegetarian after I've watched What The Health and was inspired to make sweeping changes to our diet and lifestyle.
As a result, I lost weight, my skin became a lot clearer, and I have more energy. My hubby can report the same. Bear has always had a plant-based diet
It's one of those purchases where I look at, think how cute it is, and then wonder, 'Okay, do I really need any more shit in the backseat of my car?'
Turns out, yes.
Bear has his own setup in the backseat. He has a container for snacks. He has a blanket. He brings his iPad with him sometimes. He has toy cars and what have you. I mean this kid's
Well, no, not really. But you have to admit my kid is pretty photogenic.
Last weekend during #streetmeetLA, Bear was photographed by child photographer, Tina Clara. She took so many amazing shots of him, I honestly don't have a single favorite. Here are some samples of her wonderful work:

It's occurred to me that I'll never really posted Bear's school pictures before. These came out pretty good! But honey, let me tell you...getting this kid to keep still and smile took a lot more effort than I expected it to!
People keep telling me and Maks to put Bear into modeling. We are contemplating it when he's older and he wants to do it (I honestly don't have time
So here's a recap of week two in our semi-vegetarian experiment.
Meal Planning
Meal planning was a lot easier last week than it was the first week. Now that we have an idea on what to eat and not to eat, it was easier to map out dinner. Some of it was still on the fly, but we did stick to the very little poultry plan. I think we had poultry
