Pregnancy

So it’s been a long while.

A really long time. Like I think this blog was in blogging purgatory, not quite hell but far from heaven. Anyhoo, I'm going to dust off this blog and restart it again. Instead of playing catch up, I'll just start afresh. I'm going to talk about life with a rambunctious toddler, that SAHM thing I'm still getting used to (though I consider myself a WAHM), and my apprehension of going through another

Crazy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd2B6SjMh_w There's been a debate, not necessarily recently but it's been gaining traction, on immunization. Before I delve further into this topic, I'll state my views on it with this link. For the full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLcOz4EKrxg Now that's out of the way, let's begin. I have friends who vaccinate. I have friends who don't. The ones who don't, they have their reasons. Some choose not to for religious reasons. Some choose not to because

Technologic

http://youtu.be/UoPplpBPQxQ Not all solids are created equal. In fact, some of them can be quite fucking disgusting. Now, I normally try to scale back on the profanity for the sake this is a mommy blog (okay, I was totally kidding when I just said that), but really...there is no other description for some solids. You see, originally I was going to make baby food and I did attempt once by giving Yoda

We Got Our Own Thang

http://youtu.be/6uPWH3TziI4 This week kicks off National Breastfeeding Week and I'm about share my experiences with breastfeeding. I'm not going to lie - breastfeeding didn't just come naturally to me. In fact, I had to work really, really hard at it. You see, many books, websites, and even some mothers, will sell a new mother on the idea that breast is best and that a woman should try every attempt possible to

Changes

http://youtu.be/Ay9BWM8lwOA Lately, we've been starting solid foods on Bo. It's been a touch and go, as expected. Some solids, he's gung-ho for like rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and pears. Some solid foods are so far a definite 'hell, no' like apples, oatmeal, any finger foods. Today, I went grocery shopping and I picked up about 15 jars of solid foods for Bo to eat and some to try. I even picked up

Baby, I’m a Star!

Has it really been almost a month since I last posted? I'm sorry. That sucks. Between trying to get my writing career back on track and still getting used to this SAHM thing, I've neglected this blog. Bad foxxy. I need to do better. For a mea culpa, here's a recent photo of Yoda bear:   M. started bringing up the topic of trying again. Ideally, I would love Yoda and his sibling(s)

Could You Be Loved

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sL_BcaI0i0w&w=560&h=315] It's time for a Bo update! Weight: 17 1/2 lbs. Length/Height: 29 inches Diaper size and type: Size 3, Huggies Little Movers. We are experimenting with cloth but still on the fence. We've tried blueberry/swaddlebees, which we both love. Alvas are pretty nice. I really liked the Kawaii overnights. I do know I hate the pockets and prefer the AIOs. I would love to purchase just one BumGenius to try it.  Though we

Outstanding

Be Alright

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPfhyfaJgGs&w=420&h=315]) What a difference a year makes. I'm typing this post with a semi-sleepy Yoda on my boob. I'm sure you wanted to know that but you can't deny I've been honest for this long so why hold back now? A year ago, I found out I was pregnant and I remember I had a flurry of emotions go through me. The biggest emotion was relief. We were trying for a
