It’s time for a Bo update!

Weight: 17 1/2 lbs.

Length/Height: 29 inches

Diaper size and type: Size 3, Huggies Little Movers. We are experimenting with cloth but still on the fence. We’ve tried blueberry/swaddlebees, which we both love. Alvas are pretty nice. I really liked the Kawaii overnights. I do know I hate the pockets and prefer the AIOs. I would love to purchase just one BumGenius to try it.  Though we do save some money and some diapers by doing cloth one day a week so far, I’m not too sure if purchasing more is worth the investment for just one child. Keep in mind, we live in an apartment and we don’t have our own washer/dryer inside the home. I found out if I purchase diapers in bulk every month, it comes out to the same as washing cloth diapers several times a week.

Onesie size: Depends on the brand. He’s in six-month clothing and nine-month.

Yoda discoveries: He likes to drop things. He thinks his feet are the coolest things ever.

What he loves: Seeing people. He loves baths and  he loves going out for walks. He loves the sights and sounds.

What he hates: He doesn’t like me being too gone out of his sight. He particularly doesn’t care for new people if they’re all over him. We also discovered he hates the hand-drying machine in the mall bathrooms. We had a bit of a freakout this past weekend when I had to change him and the machine scared him. 🙁

Sleep habits/schedule: I try to not let Yoda stay up for longer than three hours at a time, though sometimes it’s hard to put him down. He takes several naps throughout the day and is still staying up all night to get lucky. I am trying to put him back on a schedule so we’ll see if that works.

Boobies, boobies, boobies: Still breastfeeding and plan to for a while. Ideally, I would love to breastfeed for a year while I introduce him to solid food in a few months. His pedi just advised not to have him start solids until he’s 7 months. I’m pretty excited about it! I can’t wait to introduce him to other foods.

Our special time: I’ve been reading and singing to him. I can’t sing worth crap so I hope I don’t scar him for life. I usually sing ‘He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands’ and ‘Jesus Loves Me’. I also read the Bible to him with a special Bible app for children on our iPad. M. also reads Russian fairytales to him.

Next milestone: Waiting for him to rollover.  Yep, he still hasn’t rolled over. He can sit up by himself, which is great, but when it comes to rolling over, he’ll get to the halfway point and just gives up. We do a little tummy time after each diaper change so just waiting for Yoda to do it on his own.
