Now that's out of the way, let's begin.
I have friends who vaccinate. I have friends who don't. The ones who don't, they have their reasons. Some choose not to for religious reasons. Some choose not to because

School has officially started, pretty much across America. A lot of kids are either returning to their schools, starting a brand-new one, or entering the final year at the one they’re at. A very exciting time. I remember being excited it was my last year in fifth, eighth, twelfth years and my senior year at college.
Earlier, one of my April moms posted a picture of her daughter leaving for

The Mike Brown tragedy affected me more than it should and that's just because it happens so often. Too often. It seems every few months now, we're hearing a story about an unarmed

Not all solids are created equal. In fact, some of them can be quite fucking disgusting.
Now, I normally try to scale back on the profanity for the sake this is a mommy blog (okay, I was totally kidding when I just said that), but really...there is no other description for some solids.

Lately, the topic of posting pictures of deceased babies on social media has gained a bit of traction. There seems to be two sides - those who believe the parents have every right to post whatever they want, honoring their child and those who believe something so private shouldn't be posted on any type of social media.

This week kicks off National Breastfeeding Week and I'm about share my experiences with breastfeeding. I'm not going to lie - breastfeeding didn't just come naturally to me. In fact, I had to work really, really hard at it.
You see, many books, websites, and even some mothers, will sell a new mother on the idea that breast is best and that a woman should try every attempt possible to

Lately, we've been starting solid foods on Bo. It's been a touch and go, as expected. Some solids, he's gung-ho for like rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and pears. Some solid foods are so far a definite 'hell, no' like apples, oatmeal, any finger foods.
Today, I went grocery shopping and I picked up about 15 jars of solid foods for Bo to eat and some to try. I even picked up

I've always had a love-hate relationship with my hair. Unlike some women who prize their hair and treat it like a prized possession, my attitude towards my hair has always been more of an annoyance than a blessing. You see, I have really thick, curly, 4C type hair and my go-to approach of doing my hair is always having someone else do it. I will gladly pay an
