I have a small collection of tats on my body. When I say small, I mean three. Yeah, small. The goal is to eventually have a sleeve on my right arm. Not sure if I'm getting one on my left but for certain, my right.
We went to the Hello Kitty Convention last year and I had an opportunity to get a free Hello Kitty tattoo. Unfortunately, I was

To vaccinate or nah?
That seems to be the question that many parents are facing nowadays. When I was growing up, it was a non-issue. I was vaccinated as a baby. I got the MMR vaccine as a teen and again as an adult. In fact, I received the vaccine just before I became pregnant with Bear.
Bear isn't caught up with his vaccinations yet but he did receive a
(I'll get back to using song titles as my blog posts in a short while, but the last few posts were exceptions...)
I'm Black. I have two Black parents. On my father's side, I had a great-grandmother who was half-White and half-Indian. I know this because I met her at the tender age of five and my first thought was, 'Who is this white lady?'. Over the years, I've had
I spoke about this issue before (See Could You Be Loved for a refresher). So here's my unadulterated and totally unscientific take on it. My honest opinion? The best way to cloth diaper is in conjunction with disposables.
Yes, shocking. I'm actually promoting both types of diapering.
We own seven cloth diapers - two Blueberries (though one is not in use due to size restrictions), two BumGenius, one Alva, one Kawaii, and
I figured since the last post was a little heavy, here's some lighter news. I'm sure this is the only reason why some of you come on here and honestly, I can't blame you. I have no qualms with my kid (or The Kid) being more popular than me.
The first two pics were taken during the July 4th festivities in Downtown L.A. The last one was taken I think

What happens when you've already moved on?
I had a friend, Ricci, who I was pretty close with. Years ago, she made a very bad decision and I strongly voiced my disapproval of. She was in a relationship with a married man and bragged about it. Not cool of you have a friend who's married. She got mad that I told her off and didn't support her relationship. I
A really long time.
Like I think this blog was in blogging purgatory, not quite hell but far from heaven.
Anyhoo, I'm going to dust off this blog and restart it again. Instead of playing catch up, I'll just start afresh. I'm going to talk about life with a rambunctious toddler, that SAHM thing I'm still getting used to (though I consider myself a WAHM), and my apprehension of going through another

I've always wondered why people get upset over a woman breastfeeding.
Before kids, I never had a feeling one way or the other. I was never 'Pro-Cover' or 'Anti-Cover'. I was never 'Keep at Home' or 'Find Somewhere Discreet if You Must'. I never really cared.
So now that I am a mother to an earth baby, I'm...well, tickled pink.
My reaction is to this article. For those too lazy to
I've been pretty vocal on this blog about my marital issue. I say issue because honestly, it only is one, which is pretty good considering. We don't really fight about money (kinda hard to fight about money when there is none), and we don't let family conflict make a huge impact in our marriage.
So when I read this article, my only thought was WTF?

I have to wonder...is having another baby really necessary?
Having a baby has been everything I've expecting: late night, sleepless nights, stinky diapers, weird stains on floors, multitude of toys, toys that aren't really toys but he wants them anyway.
Having a baby has been everything I wasn't expecting: I'm alone in this. Not figuratively. Literally.
I'm a special breed - the stay at home working mother. I write and publish, do
