Hello Family!
This week kicks off the long-awaited product review week (that I was supposed to do last week but life happens). I'll be reviewing hair, makeup, household, and toddler products. Without further ado, let's jump right in it!
Hair review
Over the past several months, I've tried a variety of different products for my hair and Bear's. I'll separate the products into different posts so you don't get confused by all

Trust me...we've been looking for a good one for years.
While we finally decided on this one (review coming later in this post), it occurred to me it would be helpful to other parents what to look for and expect:
Affordability.
Ease of construction.
How many toys it can actually hold.
How long you hope it will last.
Let's start point by point:
Affordability
We actually got our toy chest on sale and that's something I highly encourage. If
A question I get a lot (and from adults, surprisingly!) is how I manage Bear's curls. I would love to say it's just a magical thing and he naturally wakes up like that every morning, but no. I have to work at it.
Here is what I use and the various tips that could help you. I've also included my Bear's curly hair playlist for you to check out!

Today's natural hair product review comes from Tangles Out Today. Originally I purchased this for Bear's hair but as I applied it, I realized it was quite heavy for his Type 3 hair. I used it on my Type 4 hair and well, it was PERFECT! Let's get started with the review:
Consistency:
It’s a spray. Nice and light. There are several oils in this spray, so while it is light,
As I continue to experiment with Bear's hair, I love trying new products. I've heard a lot of great things about the Aunt Jackie's brand so I decided to give it a whirl for both me and Bear. The results weren't all that great for me but for Bear, it was a miracle worker. Let's get right into it.
Consistency:
It's a cream so it's thick.
Smell:
Very light. Honestly, there really isn’t

Disclaimer: I'd received this complimentary sample of Cottonelle Mega Roll Clean Care for an honest review.
I have to admit: Just like everyone in the world, I'm pretty protective of my butt.
You sit on it. It helps your legs to move. You shake it to a funky beat.
Most of all, you tend to take care of it with the right kind of toilet paper.

This week, I'm reviewing CozyPhones. I was contacted by them to review their kids' headphones line and I was anxious to do so!
A little bit about CozyPhones from the owner, Paul:
We're a small family-owned business. We started off by selling our sleeping headphones on Amazon, then developed our own brand of fun, comfortable, kids headband headphones and named them CozyPhones™.
We're a veteran owned, U.S. based business. We appreciate each and
There's something so sweet and pure about the nude lippy. It really does soften your entire face and people tend to approach you more like you're harmless.
I discovered Bite Beauty when I was test-driving new lippy colors via the Sephora virtual makeup app. I was looking for a new lip color, any particular one, and when I couldn't find a good one in the app, I just went to
So, I picked up the Bentgo Kids lunch box from Amazon other day. I wanted to pack Bear's lunch in a place where he could easily snack all day when he's at school and is relatively easy for us to clean. I also didn't want a bunch of plastic bags all over the place (really trying to conserve waste).
Here's my review:
Sturdiness:
It's pretty sturdy. It's actually a bit heavy (about
I'm constantly on the search for new products to try and I love to spotlight Black-owned businesses whenever I can. You know, each one, teach one, buy one, etc.
So on IG, I ran across The True Products on WeBuyBlack.com. They're a Black-owned laundry detergent company. I've heard pretty amazing stories about them and since I'm a fan of not using detergent that smells like soap and other sorts of
