Concrete Rose

After our protest this past Saturday, we walked around L.A. trying to find a place that didn’t have too long of a line for us to eat. We actually ended up going back home to eat in a local restaurant but we had fun walking around!
We discovered a chicken coop in the Arts District and Bear had a ton of fun!

During our excursion to the Arts District here in L.A., we stumbled upon a rather big rose. I mean, huge!

It reminded me of the famous poem by one of my favorite rappers, Tupac Shakur:

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

It was fun, but exhausting day. Would you believe after walking and protesting, I still went home to do laundry? Yeah. I’m a little crazy.
