Mother's Day has a new meaning for me. Not necessarily a happy one.
Last year, it was supposed to be my first Mother's Day with a newborn. That didn't happen. Instead, it was my first Mother's Day and I didn't have a baby to show for it. I vividly recall I spent my day in hiding, away from phone and any social media. I didn't want to be flooded with
Great news! Yoda finally caught up! My EDD is back to the original - 11/18. So flippin' excited!
So what's Yoda up to this week? Let's find out!
According to The Bump:
Things are changing fast. You’re reaching the home stretch of the first trimester (we know, finally!) at 12 weeks which means your hormones are likely to tone things down a bit -- which might make you feel a little less

Sorry I haven't updated. Between being absolutely exhausted and well, being absolutely exhausted, I just haven't had the energy. I'm still tired; I'm actually in bed right now as I type this. But the good news is that I'm feeling a lot better! My nausea disappeared and my hunger is back in full force, which I'm still deciding if it's a good thing. I'm always hungry!
I'll pick up the
So yeah, I totally skipped over Week 11. Here's a recap:
According to baby-gaga.com:
Your wee baby is now comparable in size to a plum!
Go ahead... we'll wait while you run to the kitchen and hold one in your hand to marvel at the life form unfolding inside of you.
Your baby's favorite game right now is exploring their face and especially their mouth.
Not only does this game improve your child's newly
Hello, hello!
We're going to do the week-by-week pregnancy a little different for the time being. Since Yoda is measuring a little small, I'm going to do the pregnancy weeks by LMP (last menstrual period) until Yoda catches up. If Yoda somehow measures ahead, I'll still do it by LMP.
What's Yoda's size this week?
According to baby-gaga.com:
Your astonishingly tiny baby has been growing as fast as possible, almost doubling in size

It's been a while since I've updated on the health front. Truth to be told, I've just been too exhausted to update. If I'm not sleeping, I'm trying to sleep. I can go to bed at one in the morning and wake up like it's nothing five hours later. Needless to say, I've been taking a lot of much-needed naps. In fact, I took one today. I was planning
Over the past several weeks, Maks and I have gone back and forth on whether we wanted to find out the sex of Yoda. I wanted to find out because it'll be easier for the registry. Well, registries since there's more than one. I think I'm at three now and I'm not sure if I started one at Babies R Us. Wait a minute, am I at three registries?
Today I officially start month three of pregnancy. I would be happier if I wasn't so damn nauseated all the time.
Let's check Yoda's progress!
According to Alphamom:
our Baby:
Is about the size of a grape, or perhaps a cocktail olive, the kind that’s marinated in vermouth and stuffed with blue cheese.
(Is not marinated in vermouth or stuffed with blue cheese.)
Has fingers and toes and eyelids and ears.
External boy and girl-parts are
Today marks week eight into my pregnancy! Just one more week until I actually hit three months. Sweet! Let's check out Yoda's progress:
According to baby-gaga.com:
Woohoo! You've got one whole inch of baby inside of you!
Your little embryo has finally reached the one-inch mark (30mm)!
What's more, your baby is finally starting to take on some very distinct human features. For starters, their little tail (really just the spinal cord) has
