I'm on a mission to try as many conditioning washes (otherwise known as cowash) as possible. Even ones I'm not sure about. Even ones I never heard about. Even ones I love so I can just spread the word.
Yeah, I get like that when I see a new product I want to try.
I recently tried Creme of Nature's Pure-Licious Co-Wash. I'm familiar with the Creme of Nature brand as I've
My Mother's Day weekend 2016 is something I won't forget anytime soon. We went to the #LALovesPrince concert on Friday and it was super fun! (To see our adventures, click here.)
And then Saturday happened.
Bear had a slight limp on the night of the concert and I didn't really think anything of it because he did walk around a lot. Saturday morning, however, his limp grew more pronounced and it

Over the last two weeks, I've been bombarded with Mother's Day as I'm sure the rest of the country, if not world. Mother's Day sale here. Mother's Day deals there. Mother's Day in my inbox. Mother's Day when I turn on the TV.
Mother's Day. Mother's Day. Mother's Day. (For a surprising history of lesson of how it got started, click here.)

So, I've been frequenting Etsy a lot lately. To be honest, I haven't really been on the site since I was planning for my wedding several years ago but recently, it's been calling me.
I like to get the quirky and cute to decorate my home. Or should be honest and say decorate as much as I can. It's hard to do a lot of decoration with an active toddler.

So, I've been on the search for the perfect shampoo for Bear. He has super curly hair. If I had to put him into a category, it'll be 3A/3B hair type. This is a child who does a lot of things with his hair - he pulls on it, he wipes his dirty hands on it, he has no qualms
Facebook.
Twitter.
Tumblr.
Snapchat.
Instagram.
Peach.
Periscope.
And le sigh...so many more I really don't care about. But you get the idea.
There is so many social media apps, hubs, networks...it's really almost too much for people to care about.
I'm a bit "old-school." I remember when Myspace was the new hot sauce. I actually liked Myspace because I was able to customize my page, have music or other graphics on it, and people could leave me messages
I debated writing this post.
While most people can claim they're Prince fans (and I'm sure just about everyone is), he resonating something deeper within me.
Being a creative, I'm in a special category. In a world where people feel they can dictate how you should act, perform, and create, you're often toeing the line between doing your own thing and actually pleasing the audience. Of course, many creatives just please
It's a been while since I've done a post on just Bear and nothing but so here it goes!
Weight: Around 25 lbs. Since we switched to a new insurance, I haven't been able to get him to his pedi yet, but soon.

As I've been experimenting more with my lips, I found that I have a small penchant for the nude lippy. The barely-there-but-we-can-all-tell-you're-wearing-something-on-your- lips-and-OMG-I-so-want-that-look color.
So, there are three nude-ish colors in my arsenal that I like. Let's start -
NYX Praline
It gives a shimmer color and it goes on very smooth. I like this because it has brown undertones that highlight the golden ones in my skin.
NYX Rome

Let me begin with a preface for those who are new to the blog: I often use hair care products that wouldn't be typically geared to biracial/mixed and/or curly hair. I want to show what products work best for curly hair as well as what I typically have in my armory. It's one of the benefits of being a naturalista - whatever I use on my hair, I can
