So, I’m a huge fan of Trader Joe’s. I try to go there every week if budget permits. I love how it has a wide variety of yummy and pretty healthy things to choose from. I also love how it has a wide variety of yummy and not-so healthy things to choose from, lol.

I was first introduced to Trader Joe’s by a former friend. She raved about the store and I could admit I would always pass by it but I would never go inside. One time I decide to venture by myself and I was in awe. So much goodness. A lot of my favorites they no longer sell (I wish they would stop doing that shit!), but a lot of the newer stuff became instant faves and I hope they don’t stop selling.

Since I’ve became a fan of the store, I find a lot of really cool little things in it I felt you should probably dig as well. Since there are so many things I love about Trader Joe’s, I’m going to split this blog posts into two: Food and Drink.

Let’s go with the food!

Mandarin Orange Chicken

I really can’t get over how delicious this is. All you need is your oil of choice (I use olive) and it’ll be ready in just a few minutes. I usually pair this with the brown rice (you can buy the pre-served kind in the freezer section that only takes 3 minutes to heat up in the freezer!)

Lemon Curd

This lemon curd is the bee’s knees. I usually use it on the brioche sliced bread. Here’s a free will-put-10-pounds-on-your-ass recipe:

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp of butter

Couple slices of brioche bread

Lemon curd

Melt the butter

Directions:

Fry the bread in a skillet with the melted butter

Served warm with the lemon curd.

Cookie Butter

I like to eat the cookie butter either on the brioche bread or just plain wheat bread. I usually just eat it plain and don’t add anything else with it. Also a great light sweet snack.

Almond Danish Ring

I’ve become a huge fan of almond danishes/croissants, etc. They’re bad for me and I know this. Full of butter, gooey-gooeyness, and so much deliciousness it goes straight to my ass. I get that. And I also get I’ll keep eating this and doing yoga because such is life.

I highly recommend this. In fact, so does everyone at the local Trader Joe’s I go to. It’s always sold out!

Chocolate and Vanilla French Macarons

These are so damn good, omfggggggggg. It’s great as a nice snack or an after-breakfast, after-dinner treat. Sometimes you just need a little something to finish off your meal and this is it. I cannot get over these. Yes ma’am!

Burrata, Prosciutto, and Arugula flatbread

I love this as a meal or a complement to a salad or dish. I’m not going to say it’s nice and light, because it isn’t! But it is filling, cheesy, and delicious. I can’t get enough of it.

Hold the Cone! Mini ice cream cones

I love, love, LOVE these mini ice cream cones! They are so cute (yes, food can be cute) and they give the just right amount of sweetness without needing to eat more than one. We all love them here and I highly recommend them!!

Wasabi Roasted Seaweed Snack

Maks loves this! I usually pack it in his lunch bento boxes. They’re a little spicy and crispy, but omggggg….you can’t just have one!

Chicken and Mushroom Pelemini

Maks is Eastern European so we always have pelemini/dumplings, pierogis in our fridge at any given time (with plenty of vodka). I personally like to boil these and then fry them in vegetable oil for that extra crispiness. I usually serve with sour cream.

What are your favorites from Trader Joe’s?
