I'm in my old neighborhood of Highland Park, Los Angeles, on a regular basis. While I do love living in Pasadena, I really miss the old neighborhood and its charm.
As we spent some time in town over the weekend, I stopped by an interesting shop called Prelude & Dawn. I haven't been there before nor did I stop by when I lived in HLP (I know, shame on me).

So, we recently moved. Yeah. I didn't mention it at all on this blog because well, it was hella short notice and honestly speaking, we're still moving. We moved from our wonderful neighborhood of Highland Park to nearby neighboring Pasadena. Not a bad shake!
I can't get into details about said move other than the new owners of our rent-controlled apartment had a vision that didn't include the current residents.
I decide to switch up the vegan posts a little but venturing outside of my comfort zone and going to a vegan restaurant. I've been to vegan restaurants before and I've enjoyed them. However, vegan restaurants can often be a hit or miss. Some have their flavoring down to a science and some should pick up a seasoning book, but I digress.

We heard a series of sirens and thought it was just a car accident. Then we heard a BOOM! that shook our windows, even making Sushi wonder what was going on.
