Show You the Way to Go

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSbKWEyASkE&w=560&h=315] For those new to the blog, I often use song titles to describe either my post or how I'm feeling. Sometimes it makes sense and sometimes it doesn't. But either way, you're getting some good music to listen to! Hair. All of that hair. An abundance. Copious. A LOT! While I like to playfully complain about my son's hair, the requests and suggestions to cut his hair are becoming louder. Apparently people still don't

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness #4: When People Don’t Acknowledge Your Loss

October marks Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness (PAIL) month. Over the course of this month, I’ll feature a series of posts dedicated to this month. It’s a bittersweet month for me. Sweet because it’s my birthday month, bitter because I’m reminded of my lost babies (not that I ever forget them). People respond differently to tragedies. Some buckle down and get stronger. Russian Soul Sunday – Apple Butter Cake edition

So I only have two cups of flour in the home. Yeah, I just went grocery shopping, spent an insane amount of money, and I somehow forgot flour on my list. Go figure. I used to receive a lot of flack for still nursing him but when I tell people he's never been sick, it quickly shuts them up. The power of breastmilk!" Special thanks to the Black Women Do Breastfeed community for featuring our photo!

The Thrill is Gone

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fk2prKnYnI&w=560&h=315] The excitement is kinda gone. It's been so long since we've TTC'd that I truly forgot how emotionally exhausting it is. Last cycle was a blow to us since we thought it was going to be our month. Even my pregnancy tests were, I feel, inconclusive. Not stark white negative but something was kinda there almost positive. As we all know, almost doesn't count. So here we are, gearing up for
Meet the Blussians

My birthday weekend! :)

This past Saturday was my born day! We were in the middle of a ridiculous heat wave in L.A. so that really hindered our plans to do a lot of things. My hubby had a photo shoot on Saturday and Bear and I tagged along. Here is a video of our adventures: [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iS-DdFviCg&w=560&h=315] The people I tagged in the video are photographers, models, and other artists. Go check out their
