Going back to basics.
I began my natural hair journey back in 2014. After the birth of Bear, I was doing fine for a while with my hair until the natural postpartum shedding occurred. And I was no prepared for the amount of hair loss I had. So I decided to cut it all off!
And then I grew it out!
And then I got a bored so I
I hate giving bad reviews to products I wanted to love, especially if those products are raved by many others. I really hate giving bad reviews to products that were expensive because a girl feels like she just wasted her damn money.
But here I am.
Looking for a new moisturizer for my skin in this tough winter, I decided to do a splurge and get the highly raved
I recently made an excellent shrimp and grits recipe. Why? Well, I'll tell you why - I was watching the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé and see how one of the chumps was from New Orleans. Of course, all I wanted was soul food as I watched the hot mess episode.
So, I decided to save money and try my own version of shrimp and grits. And guess
I normally don't like to use 'investment' and 'luxury handbag' in the same sentence. I guess some bags could be seen as investments if you plan to keep them forever. I have a few low-level luxury items (Coach), and a couple of higher-end ones (Louis Vuitton).
Now I have a new baby to my collection: Teflar.
Created by designer Teflar Clemens, the Teflar bag is considered to the 'Bushwick
I type this post every year, but every year it rings true: your New Year's resolutions are trash. Basura caliente.
I'm not going to rehash what I literally wrote just a year ago, but I will emphasize why everyone should do quarterly goals instead a year-long resolution.
Quarterly goals makes you work smarter, not harder. You have 90 days to get your act together and not a day more.
I'm trying to go as clean as possible. I guess being home so much made me realize how many chemicals I use on a regular basis. While I don't have an issue with that (I really don't), I also don't want my home smelling like bleach every damn day.
Homemade potpourri to the rescue.
I love Pinterest for the simple fact I can get so many ideas from there
Christmas is less than a week away and I know many of you have done your shopping. But if you're a last-minute shopper (like me!) and you don't want to go out to the stores, here are some gifts you can give without leaving your home. In fact, you probably don't have to wait for delivery for many of these!
Here are my recommendations for the best Amazon gifts
I love test-driving new recipes and this is a great one. I used to buy this at the grocery store and I decided to just try it on my own! And guess what? It turned out better!

Every year, it seems the time Ethan was on Earth becomes a distant memory. Yet, every year, I'm constantly reminded of what isn't and what could've been.
It's a weird conundrum. I want to remember everything about my son, but I also don't want to remember the hurt and pain of it all.
And it sucks. I'm not going to lie and say it's been an easy road. The
Tis the season to blow money....fa la la la la la la la...
With #blacklivesmatter being prominent this year and the protests have significantly slowed down, the support of the Black community is stronger than ever.
It doesn't mean #blacklivesmatter was only a summer thing; it's everyday life. Here are some Black-owned brands I have personally patronized and can say it with my whole chest you need to support. Let's
