So, for the past several months, I decided to tackle a challenge (click here for a refresher). My rules - only shampoo, conditioner, and hair grease. That's it.
And other rules:
Very little heat, sparingly. Can switch up my shampoo and conditioner.Protective hair styling is encouraged.Co-washing conditioners are acceptable. I dye my hair about every 6-8 weeks. I also trim my hair every 6 weeks or as needed.I wash my
So fun and easy for you and the kids (or adults!)
Keeping Bear off the iPad and computer takes a bit more effort nowadays. However, he's always down to have some fun painting and doing crafts.
I looked up some crafts online and found a great one and it doesn't take that long to do!
All you need is:

So, yeah, 11 years ago...we did a thing.
It's so crazy looking back and seeing I've been married for 11 years. While our big 10-year anniversary was more or less a dud to due to coronavirus, this year has been significantly better. There's still a lot we really can't do, but the optimism in the air is much stronger than it was last year around this time.
I'm glad I
So, we have 3 cats - Sushi, Smokee, and Buddy. And we live in a 600 sq. ft. duplex. Yes, a tiny space for 3 humans and 3 cats. We have a front yard and a backyard, with a nice little side yard. Nevertheless, we have 3 cats in a very small space.
Yet, it doesn't even smell like we even have one cat!

The original Queen Diva herself, Sushi, just turned 10. She's my longest cat I've had to date, and just a joy.
She was a rescue cat from our local animal shelter. She's helped us in so many ways and we're ever-so thankful for her.
I'll do another post on how to maintain a clean and cat-smell-free home, but for now, I just want to celebrate our girl!

I picked up a special edition magazine
Going back to basics.
I began my natural hair journey back in 2014. After the birth of Bear, I was doing fine for a while with my hair until the natural postpartum shedding occurred. And I was no prepared for the amount of hair loss I had. So I decided to cut it all off!
And then I grew it out!
And then I got a bored so I
I hate giving bad reviews to products I wanted to love, especially if those products are raved by many others. I really hate giving bad reviews to products that were expensive because a girl feels like she just wasted her damn money.
But here I am.
Looking for a new moisturizer for my skin in this tough winter, I decided to do a splurge and get the highly raved
I recently made an excellent shrimp and grits recipe. Why? Well, I'll tell you why - I was watching the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé and see how one of the chumps was from New Orleans. Of course, all I wanted was soul food as I watched the hot mess episode.
So, I decided to save money and try my own version of shrimp and grits. And guess
