October marks Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. Over the course of this month, I’ll feature a series of posts dedicated to this month. It’s a bittersweet month for me. Sweet because it’s my birthday month, bitter because I’m reminded of my lost babies (not that I ever forget them).
In continuing Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness posts, I'm going to talk about what NOT to say when a woman

Pregnancy and infant loss is a taboo subject because let's face it, no one likes to talk or think about
I'm starting to get a handle on this vlogging thing, though I'll freely admit, I still don't know what the eff I'm doing.
Anyway, here are our adventures from yesterday when we attended the Amber Rose SlutWalk.

On Tuesday, I'm going to make a special post on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month and share more of my stories of losing Ethan and jellybean (my early miscarriage loss before Ethan)
Today, for Russian Soul Sunday, we're going to do either Eggplants Mezhivo or just plain ol' fried eggplant.
As it's (finally!) starting to get cooler in L.A., we're incorporating more baked and fried dishes in our diet. During the summer and warmer months, it's usually a lot of salads or very light dishes (and honestly, who wants to spend a lot of time in the kitchen when it's 100 degrees
It's amazing how small he was last year around this time!
We took him to his first pumpkin patch and he was a little overwhelmed. After all, he'd never seen a pumpkin before, let alone a ton of them! Here are some pics from it last year.

I love this photo. So touching. <3
Whoa! What is this?

So, we decided to go ahead and semi-document our lives. I say semi-document because we're going to upload on Tuesdays and Saturdays (making an exception today). I'm keeping the blog because it's primarily about Bear and I while the YouTube channel is about all of us (even Sushi!) with special guest appearances by families and friends.
So go subscribe and do all of that jazz. :)

To vlog or not to vlog...
I've been going back and forth if I want to do this. It has nothing to do with valuing privacy or selling my family out. Let's be clear, if I vlog, it'll be primarily Bear and I featured (M. works full-time so he won't be available). I started looking up some prominent YouTube families to kinda get a feel of what they do

Now, the recipe had European measurements which meant I had to spend more time Googling that I'd originally intended. That's fine. I can still do a little something something.
So the first thing I had to do is chop up the mushrooms and sauté them. No biggies. I

Russian Soul Sundays.
It was a term M. and I came up with when we first got married. We would have one day a week where we'll have soul food and Russian cuisine. It was a great idea at first and we did employ it a few times. Then after a while, laziness (I'll keep it real) came in and well, Russian Soul Sundays was out.
Now, it's back!
