Why yes, our Christmas tree is still up on January 4th. And it'll probably be up until January 31st. And so are our decorations! Our neighbors are used to it, though. In fact, I think they started recognizing Orthodox Christmas as well. Or maybe not.
We celebrate Orthodox Christmas, which is typically a week after traditional Christmas. We don't give or receive gifts, nor do we still play Christmas music
I'm not a real big believer in resolutions. In fact, I'm hard pressed to remember when was the last time I made any. It's not that I make them and forget about them around February (which seems to be the time most people do); it's just I'm a believer in if it wasn't my goal on December 31st, it's not going to be my goal on January 1st.

I recently tried the DevaCurl No-Poo cleansing conditioner on Bear. I tried it on my hair before (for a refresher, click here), so it was time to do it on Bear's hair.
Pros:
It cleans very well.

I apologize for the lack of posts. The beautiful thing about having a preschooler is when you send them to school well, it's almost a guarantee they'll come home sick and share the love. Yeah, we're all sick here but we're on the mend. The last few days weren't that great but I'm glad it wasn't anything more serious to warrant an ER trip.

The build-up to his birthday is always the hardest. This year has been incredibly difficult because having a preschooler is one more reminder of what could've been and what currently isn't. I know it may sound weird and I don't sound like I'm grateful for Bear, but I am. I thank God every day for Bear. But I also wish Bear had his big brother.
