I’ll be the first to admit: I’m not a huge football fan. It’s funny to say that because I am a huge sports fan. I just love sports. I was an athlete in high school and college and I enjoy sports to this day. While I’m hesitant to watch golf (I mean, the shit looks boring!), I understand it.
I’m also the lone member in my family who can’t stand football.
Don’t get me wrong. I understand it’s a part of Americana like hot dogs and apple pie. But growing up around it, having brothers, cousins, and nephews play it, I’m like meh on it. I can do without it.
When L.A. acquired two football teams a while back, I made the decision against my family, who are die-hard Raiders fans, to root for the Rams. I remember when the Rams were in L.A. and when they moved to St. Louis. It was nice to see them back again.
I’m also old enough to remember Eric Dickerson. If you don’t know who that is, Google.
We watched the football game from the comfort of our home and cheered as our team won its second Super Bowl title in franchise history. I announced to Maks and Bear we were going to the parade regardless. I would even pull Bear out of school so he could attend.
Anyhoo, here are some pics for you to enjoy! All pics are credited to my husband, @caliwinter.
