Disclaimer: I don’t wear tampons for health reasons so more than likely, I will never do a review on organic tampons.

I have heavy periods. Some periods are better than others, but lately, it’s been bad. I know there are underlying issues at hand, but I also think a part of it is the pads I use. I don’t want to get sued so I won’t necessarily name the brand, but I will say not all brands are good for you.

When I have tried organic pads, I’ve noticed my periods were better – I was able to do a lot more, I wasn’t taking as many painkillers, and my cramps weren’t as bad.

I do believe there are some brands out there (and some pretty major ones) who add chemicals to the pads, but those chemicals and additives aren’t good for you and might contribute to your periods being well, horrible.

I’ve been on a quest to try different organic pads. I’ve spoken about my comparison before but now I have a whole-ass list I can give to y’all. Are you ready for it? Here it goes!

The Honey Pot.

Hands down this is my all-time new favorite. Not only is it made by women who have vaginas but it’s for women who have vaginas (that is legit their tagline). What I love about The Honey Pot is it’s soothing. They add eucalyptus, lavender, and mint. You feel a cooling sensation down there and while it might trip you out at first, you’ll come to really enjoy it (especially during the summertime, girl!)

I personally recommend this to any woman who is recovering from childbirth. Seriously, you’ll thank me later.

Natracare

This is also another favorite. I love how it pulls the liquid down without feeling yucky or that I’m sitting in a flood. I feel surprisingly fresh. And I have yet to have a leak with these.

Always Pure.

I’m cautious about this one because I’m not entirely sure it’s organic or vegan, however, for what it’s worth it did work and I had great protection all day. No leaks, no messes, and no bothers.

Organyc.

I love this brand because it makes me feel super comfortable. Some women did mention this doesn’t pull as much moisture like the other ones and I do agree. However, this one also didn’t make me feel like I had mess in my underwear.

L. Organic.

This is a good, cheap brand. My girlfriend raved about it and I thought it was pretty good. It’s simple and to the point. As you can tell by the packaging, it has no chlorine, dyes, pesticides, and fragrances. Annnnnnd….it’s made by women for women.

A bonus one, because this is also another favorite of mine:

Rael.

Just like its competitors, Rael is also organic and chemical-free. I like this one for the same reasons above, even though it’s a bit on the pricey side. When I wore it, I felt surprisingly fresh even on my heaviest days. And y’all, that’s pretty big.

So, there you have it! My Top 5 organic maxi pads with a bonus one.

Which one is your favorite?
