Recently, I received a very generous gift from the great folks over at Daily Kneads bread. Now, I'm going to keep it one hundred like I always do - I never heard of them. So, naturally I was a little apprehensive about trying a product I never heard of.
But YOLO, right?
Before I go why I had to give myself a pep talk on why I had to eat my

So, when a child turns 5, it's a big deal. One, you can actually use your entire hand for your age and probably the only time you can do it. Second, you're at that age where you're considered to be a little big kid. Not a big kid like the 7 year olds and up, but you're no longer considered a toddler.
And plus, five is the cool age. You
Okay, so you're probably wondering how cold can it really get in Los Angeles? Well, it can get surprisingly cold. Now, we're not experiencing any snow (I would need to drive to get to that), but I can feel my bones clack.
It was time for all of us to upgrade our outerwear. Let's start with the parents:
I picked up this Calvin Klein gem from Macy's. It seems puffer coats
It's crazy to think five years ago, I won the lottery.
That's exactly how I felt when Is aw Bear for the very first time. It honestly felt like I won the lottery. Life couldn't have gotten any better.
I just love this little boy so much. He's my world, my encourager, my coach, one of my best friends, and he's just an amazing kid.
I love him so.
I can't wait to
Yesterday, bae and I went to go see Bohemian Rhapsody since we're both huge Queen fans (yes, I like Queen).
We heard some of the reviews about the movie weren't that great, namely there wasn't enough grit in the movie, but we wanted to check it out regardless since we loved Queen and Freddie Mercury. My hubby, being the nerd he is (I'm saying that in a loving way), is
For years, I wanted a Louis Vuitton. My mother had one. My friends had one. My old boss had several.
I loved the luxury of the designer brand and honestly, I still do. It's classic, it's timeless, and it goes with everything. In L.A., it's the typical L.A. fashion accessory. You'll be more shocked to see a woman not carrying a Louis Vuitton than one who does.
So several years ago,
For my birthday, we went to the L.A. Zoo. I haven't been to the zoo in a very long time and it was my first visit to the L.A. Zoo since I moved to L.A. some 10 years back.
The zoo was much bigger than I thought it was going to be. In fact, it was so big, we didn't have time to fully experience all of the exhibits. Next
Weird.
That's really all I can muster. It's weird. Not a bad weird. Definitely not a good weird. Not weird.
There's a hole within you that will never close. Sometimes it gets bigger and overwhelming. Sometimes it returns back to size. But it never closes. It never heals. It's just kinda...there.
I lost Ethan seven years ago and I had Bear five years ago. I still feel someone, something is missing from

Tomorrow is my birthday and every year, the day before it I take a moment to reflect on what I've achieved the year before.
While most people celebrate the new year on January 1st, I always celebrate the new year on my birthday. I feel birthdays are a better measurement of progress (and sometimes, recession) than January 1st.
Where were you the year before? What have you achieved in the year
I'm sure all of you have heard the latest butthurt news out of the U.S. In case you haven't heard, Nike released an ad with Colin Kaepernick for its 30th Anniversary of Just Do It:
Now, if you want to know how I feel about Colin Kaepernick, click here for a refresher.
The hours and days after the ad had debuted, it was funny to watch some of the reaction online.
