The Many Ways Cinnamon Oil Will Change Your Life

I’m a big fan of cinnamon and I use it often. Every time I bake something sweet, I put some cinnamon in it, even if the recipe doesn’t explicitly call for it. I burn cinnamon oil a lot in my home to make it smell more warm and cozy. While I don’t typically ingest or topically use cinnamon oil (and please get a doctor’s advice if you do!), I just love the way it smells.

I already spoke about the numerous benefits of owning a cinnamon broom, so what about cinnamon as a whole? What can that do? A lot.

LFG!

Okay, so first things first… I did a YouTube video a while back on burning a cinnamon stick in your home. Just a warning, when you burn a cinnamon stick, please open all the windows and doors. It’s very strong and the smell can be overwhelming.

Let’s talk about cinnamon oil.

It’s known to reduce stress and decrease blood pressure levels. Just spraying it around the home will make it feel warm and cozy! And we all know I’m about #teamcozy around here.

Make Your Own House Spray.

Before the pandemic, I used to buy those house sprays you’ll see at Target, Walmart, and other stores. They smelled great, but they were also a little expensive after a while. Plus, with three cats and a small child, I found myself buying a lot of the house sprays.

So, I decided to make my own! I mix a few drops of cinnamon oil with distilled water and add a few drops of clove, and orange oils. It freshens up the home and makes it smell oh-so-wonderful. All of my friends and family who come over, love the way it smells as well!

But I also discovered a new gem: adding cinnamon oil to the trashcan.

Adding Cinnamon Oil to the Trashcan

Yes, adding a few drops to the trash when you change it. When it’s fresh and there’s no trash in it yet (and that’s the important part!), add a few drops of cinnamon oil to the bottom of the trash bag. Every time you open the trash can, you’ll get a whiff of cinnamon and you won’t smell garbage!

Burning Cinnamon Oil

I put some cinnamon oil in my diffuser and just let it run for a few hours. It makes the home smell cozy (you know I love that word), and plus, it makes me feel better. And according to Healthline, it’s antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-fungal. I mean, you really can’t go wrong.

And plus, it smells wonderful!

So, give burning cinnamon oil a try! For the best results, I recommend cinnamon bark oil.

Have you tried cinnamon oil? What did you think?
