So, we made a Black History Month door. It was awesome.

Bear had a voluntary school project in creating a Black History door. Normally, he and his class would create one at school but since we’re still under Trump’s pandemic, we’re at home creating one.

After going back and forth about who the door should be on – and we had a lot of choices – Bear decided on Vice President Kamala Harris.

I picked up a special edition magazine about Vice President Harris at the grocery store. I spent more than I intended – $14.99 – but I felt it was a solid purchase because it had a lot of pics of her.

This is what the door looked like before. Normally, I would’ve been happy with just this but y’all know me…we can’t do basic.

Then, so we went to Michael’s. Y’all don’t understand my love for Michael’s. It’s literally my crack store. (Well, not literally, but you know what I mean.) I purchased the following:

3 green poster boards

1 set of star stickers

1 set of letters

1 set of African print boarder

What is not mentioned is I had glue and tape at home.

Then, we went to work!

And Bear was very happy with the end result!

Did you create a Black History door? How did it turn out?
