A Belated Father’s Day Post

I have nothing to add but to brag about my husband. He's an amazing father and the best friend a Bear could have. That is all. All photos taken by me and my bae, @caliwinter

Family Trip to LAFC!

I recently scored tickets to LAFC as a Yelp Elite Perk. While we were there, a Verizon rep upgraded our tickets and we were able to get on-field access (I knowwwwwww.....crazy, right?) After an experience of a lifetime and being this close to the players (we weren't allowed to interact with them but that was fine by us), here are are some amazing photos from our weekend! The black and white photos are

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Nine years ago, we decided to forgo all of the fancy wedding planning and just get hitched at the Beverly Hills Courthouse. The original intent was to get married at San Francisco City Hall and then have a celebration for everyone. While I'm still salty I didn't pursue that original idea, I do hope to have something planned for our 10th wedding anniversary next year. Maybe not a vow renewal,

Bear is five.

It's crazy to think five years ago, I won the lottery. That's exactly how I felt when Is aw Bear for the very first time. It honestly felt like I won the lottery. Life couldn't have gotten any better. I just love this little boy so much. He's my world, my encourager, my coach, one of my best friends, and he's just an amazing kid. I love him so. I can't wait to

Our Trip to the L.A. Zoo!

For my birthday, we went to the L.A. Zoo. I haven't been to the zoo in a very long time and it was my first visit to the L.A. Zoo since I moved to L.A. some 10 years back. The zoo was much bigger than I thought it was going to be. In fact, it was so big, we didn't have time to fully experience all of the exhibits. Next

Summer Recap

We did a lot this summer and it was a lot of fun. From swimming to the beach to just enjoying life! Though I do wish we did just a bit more, I'm proud we accomplished a lot. So, let's go! Swimming lessons: If you followed my IG stories, we enrolled Bear into swimming. It was rather coaxing to get him to take his lessons and lots of promises were made

He’s the Best Father I Know

You never really know how your partner will be as a father until he is one. The same can be said for mothers; you just don't know until you're 100% responsible for a little human. I knew Maks was going to be a great father because of how big his heart is. He's super generous with his time and energy. He loves to give people benefit of the doubt even

Family Vlog – Going to the Tram!

Last week, we went on a family vacation to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway in my hometown. Maks and I were there before as an unmarried couple with no children, so it was nice to go there with Bear. It was also our first time going there when it snowed. Going up the tram was crazy. There are five towers and each time we passed a tower, we did a

Blussian Christmas traditions – New Ornaments

It seems every year we do the same thing just a bit differently. But I love that about our little family - taking something new and putting our own spin on it. As I've explained in the past, we celebrate Christmas pretty much starting from Saint Nick's until the Orthodox Christmas and New Year in January. We typically have our tree and decor up until February, though I've started decorating

Thanksgiving Adventures

We celebrated Thanksgiving in my hometown of Palm Springs with my family.  We were only there for 24 hours (if that), but we had a lot of fun. Way too much food and my parents were anxious to get rid all of it because they were going to see Charlie Wilson at Stateline (gotta love the old folks who have their own lives. #goals). Enough babbling...here are the pics (no
