Over the past several months, Maks and I have gone back and forth about adding a kitten to our family. I should note I'm actually a dog person, but I've grown to love cats. I grew up with several and I'm rather fond of them. While we don't have the space (yet) for a dog, we figured we could add another cat.
As we're in the process of trying
Eating healthy can be a challenge since convenience food is so easy. After all, why spend hours in a kitchen when you can spend minutes in a McDonald's drive-thru?
However, I am on a mission to making healthier eating choices not only for myself but for my entire family. While Bear is still not quite on board ( a kid loves his mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and hot
Bear loves reading and he loves to read about kids that kinda look like him. It is so important for diversity in children's books. As a child, I grew up on Ezra Jack Keats and it's stayed with me until adulthood. I hope to pass that same tradition to Bear.
Here are my recommendations for the best multicultural books for this fall. Ready? Let's go!

I'm going to keep it one hundred - I haven't purchased store bought spaghetti sauce in well over three years. Once I figured out (by accident), I could make the same sauce without the junk and crap that goes into preserving a store-bought one, I was sold.
Now, I'm going to share that recipe with you.
This sauce can be made with or without meat. Bear prefers his spaghetti
Fall is here (though in Southern California, Pasadena specifically, it still feels like the Devil's butthole).
Nevertheless, Target, one of my fave stores of all time, has put out their Fall merchandise for everyone to enjoy and get their Target on.
Over the weekend, I purchased a few things from Target and I'm here to share with the class. Are you ready? Let's go!

Bear loves his tablet. He actually has two, but we'll get into the why of that in another post. If he could (and he has), he would spend all day on it.
But as much educational apps I can put on his tablet, sometimes he needs to do things that are tablet-free. Or what I like to call, old school.
Here are 10 After-School Actitivities that are fun and
Now, we're not a vegan family, though we do often eat vegan food. Bear has gotten on board with it - a little. While I'm trying to get him away from so much dairy, I'm also not pressuring him to go vegan. I figure that's a choice he can make when he gets older.
Nevertheless, since Bear has been in school, I have been trying to give him healthy
Last week, I wrote about the top 10 free ways to relieve stress. This week, I'm writing about the Top 10 cheap ways.
Now, for clarification, the cheap ways would be typically $100 or under. I know in this economy, $100 isn't cheap, but there really isn't a price limit on peace of mind.
That being said, let's get started:
Oil blends and diffusers
I'm a huge fan of oil
I decided to be gender-inclusive with this post because I didn't want any dates to strictly be for boys or strictly be for girls. What if someone has twins or two young children of opposite genders?
So, here are my 20 (pretty awesome, I may add) ideas to have a date with your kid. Pics included.
Beach Date
What a relaxing way to get away from life's troubles just for a few
Since I went natural some years ago, I've become a bit of a product junkie. While I have narrowed my faves down to two hands-down, you can't beat these products, there are a host of others I highly recommend.
Now, as a precursor, I'm recommending these products for those who have Type 3 and Type 4 hair because that's the hair me and Bear are rockin'. However, cowashes are
