I’m Crys. I’m an angel mother of two and a rainbow mommy of one (for now). I love writing, music, and DIY crafts. I love my cats (Sushi, Smokee, and Buddy), my husband (Maks), my wonderful child, Bear, and my life (for the most part). I’m blessed!

I used to live in Highland Park, Los Angeles and I still think it’s the best place ever. I’m currently making my way in Pasadena, home of the Rose Parade and orange trees!

I’m part hipster, part Suzy homemaker, part diva, but all-around awesomeness.

  1. I’m so sorry for your losses. I lost by twin girls at 21 weeks to IC last year. Heartbreaking does not even begin to explain what burying a child is like. Best of luck on your journey, I look forward to following. xoxo

  2. Hi Crys,
My name is Paige Wallace and I am a Ph.D. student at Florida State University.

I’m emailing you because my current research deals with maternal writing specifically in digital spaces. I’m working to build a digital archive of maternal stories. I believe that some of your posts qualify as the kind of maternal writing the archive is focused on (stories with a focus on pregnancy and associated experiences).

I’d love if you would check out our site where you can see some posts are already archived. We take a screen grab of each post to preserve it in its original form and also link back to the original blog. As you can see the project is only now in the baby stages (pun intended) but we’d be honored to archive posts that you’re willing to share with us. I especially loved the story of the birth of your twins. It was so beautiful and powerful.

You can check out the homepage for a brief rationale behind this project and you can find a more in-depth explanation of the project in the blog post titled “The Archive: How and Why it Began.”

    Thank you for your consideration.
