I’ve been big on self-care lately. Taking much-needed time out for yourself to remind you exactly who the f*ck you are and why you’re such a badass.
But sometimes, you need to have a time-out before you can do all of that. Everyone loves to act like they’re a boss bitch online, but even the bossiest of bitches need to slow their roll and get back down to basics.
So, I’ve compiled a list of things that have helped me maintain my sanity over the past year. Some are absolutely FREE and some are cheap. There are a few splurges in here so LFG!!!!
FREE:
The Insight Timer app
I’ve spoken about this before and I cannot get over how much I love this free mediation app. I check in every day and even if I have only a few minutes, it works wonders for me.
CHEAP (Under $20)
Snoozies Socks
I love, love, LOVE these socks! First, they’re #teamcozy, but most importantly, they’re so affordable! I have hardwood floors so naturally, I’m going to track a lot of dirt on my feet and y’all, that’s not cute. I highly recommend these!
Shower Steamers
I personally like shower steamers after a long day of running errands, tending to Bear, and just pretty much life! Don’t you just feel better after you get out of the shower and feel like a brand-new person? This is my new favorite and I think you might like it as well!
Indulgence Spa (Etsy)
This is one of my favorite stores on Etsy (which is also one of my fave websites!). I have yet to be disappointed by this store and a super-plus, it’s Black-owned!
Splurge ($30 and more)
Happy Planner
I can’t live without my Happy Planner and I get one just about every year. It fills up very quickly between my stuff and Bear’s items and whew chile, lmao, it is never a dull moment in this house! I highly recommend everyone gets one!
While I do love reading an actual book I can hold in my hand and turn the page, sometimes I don’t have room for one and I can zip through my Kindle Paperwhite even quicker. This is my second Kindle and I think I’ll probably read one for the rest of my life.
Apple AirPods
Seriously, I wear my AirPods every day. I need them to focus and sometimes, I wear them to ignore other people trying to talk to me, lmao. The only caveat is that I don’t think I keep my ears clean enough.
