Hello family!
I apologize for the delay in posts but I’ll do a post on that later. For now, let’s get into the summer SZN!!!! (season for those who aren’t hip!)
So, it’s time again where you have kids on you and you probably want them to do something other than play Minecraft and Roblox. You might have them in summer school and other activities, buuuuuuut let’s face it, once they’re home or not doing those activities, they’re probably locked on their screens.
Here are a little over 20 ideas to keep your kids entertained and keep you sane!
There are some ground rules to all this:
Schedule time…or don’t.
While it is good to plan, sometimes you need to just do things on a whim without thinking about it. Maybe you’re a planner to the core and you need to have everything scheduled down to the minute. And maybe you had plans but hanging out with the kids sounded better? Be a little flexible!
Which leads to my next point…
RELAX.
All of this should be fun and relatively stress-free. I say relatively stress-free because everything usually has some stress, it just depends on how much it is. But don’t do something if you know it’s going to drive you up the walls just in the pre-planning stages.
Because no matter how much you want to plan…
Anything goes, my G!
These are fun activities, and kids often like to switch gears in the middle of it. Be open to change (be the change you want to see! *smirk*) and be prepared the super fun thing your kid(s) may not be that interested in.
But you can make it interesting if you…
Have patience.
Yes, girl! You’re going to need some patience in this. You notice how the last three points are all tied in. You’re going to need all of that. Some of these activities are short, FREE, and require little-to-no planning. Some of these activities will take a bit of planning, cost a bit of money, and need some patience. It would be best if you had all of that no matter what you do.
And no matter what you do…
Put that damn phone down. Shit.
Seriously. No clock app’ing, IG-spreading on this, please.
Like frfr…this isn’t something you need to document for your YouTube channel or anything other social media. Just something nice and fun for you and the kiddos.
Now that we’ve set the rules and know the game, here’s how we’re going to play it. LFG!!!
