Last year, I’ll admit, was a bit of a doozy. Between the Russian invasion, my best friend unexpectedly dying, and a host of other not-number hits that just kept coming, I was floating above the water. It also made me realize having real depression is not just wearing a robe all day and sleeping all da as well (I’ll do a blog post on that later).
As I’m now getting out of my depression fog, seeing everything with a clearer vision has made me think long and hard about the future of this blog and what I want to do with it.
In order for that to happen, changes needed to be made – namely the name. (Hah, I did a punny!)
I’ve struggled a lot with the Blussians name all last year. While it was a cute nickname given to us by Bear’s godparents, the Russian invasion of Ukraine made me really rethink being named blussianmommy and the whole Meet the Blussians blog name.
To keep with transparency, I wouldn’t have changed the name if the invasion hadn’t occurred. I think that’s more of a, ‘Well, duh!’ at this point. However, the invasion did occur and atrocities created by Putin and his ilk made it difficult to have the blussianmommy moniker and the like ever again.
I briefly mentioned an Etsy shop I created called Ksenfully Good (currently on hold but will be re-launched very soon). As I thought about creative names for my blog, it occurred to my husband to name it something that was already in place! The new name of this blog is Ksenfully Good (the K is silent).
Changing the name also means changing the web address, which will come soon. Don’t worry, you’ll still be directed to here so that’s not a problem.
I’m also going to take this blog a bit more serious, so that also means you might be getting updates from my life and times and other non-sensical stuff a bit more frequently. I’ll try very hard not to spam you, but expect at least twice weekly blog posts from me. I know that’s a lot considering I’m averaging once a month, lmao.
This is going to be an amazing year. I have lots to update you on, but I can’t share them until it’s time. And then…let the fun begin!
