I was in search for a new blush and I wanted something that offered pigmentation but not too much. The last thing I needed was to look like a clown.
Before, I ‘ve used L’Oreal, Maybelline, and my all-time favorite, MAC. I figured this time around I’ll go a bit more high-end. I guess I felt like blowing some monayyyyyy.
Anyhoo, while I was at Macy’s, I decided to stop by the Chanel makeup counter. Yeah, I told you this was going to be a fancy smancy review. The makeup artist tried two colors on me and honestly, I loved them both. They were Rose Tourbillion and Pink Explosion. We decided to go with Pink Explosion.
Upon arriving at home, I took it out of the bag and was rather impressed with the packaging:

So, I applied it and I was a little taken aback that it is lightly perfumed. Yes, this blush has a perfume scent. I have a sensitive nose so that was something I would’ve considered before purchase. If you’re wondering why I didn’t smell it at the store, I honestly thought I was smelling the make-up artist applying the blush.
Regardless, the pigment on this bad boy is out of this world. It’s deeply impacted so you only need to apply just a little. It also has a bit of a shimmer so you really don’t want to apply too much.

I didn’t need to apply too much. It gave me a natural rosy glow but I didn’t look like I got up beat up by my blush and lost the fight.
Now that we know the player and watched the game, how did it score?
PROS:
- Lots of pigmentation. You won’t have to use a whole lot. This will probably become your favorite blush.
- Chanel is a solid brand.
- You can purchase at any Chanel makeup counter and online.
CONS:
- There is a faint perfume scent. If you have a sensitive nose like I do, buyer beware.
- This. Costs. Fifty. Dollars. $50.00 USD. This is a definite splurge.
Overall, I do recommend it. It’s a splurge, for sure. But I also believe if you’re going to wear makeup, there’s nothing wrong investing into some high-end makeup every once in a while.

Haven’t found a favorite yet, but I’m really loving bronzer. Yeah I’m weird like that. Lol
I have the same blush but in a different shade. Unfortunately the shade i have does not have great colour payoff and i agree, it smells a bit more than necessary but hey – it looks great on my vanity haha
