So, it’s been a minute since I’ve updated here on the blog about how the gardening is going.

Well, I decided to revive my long-forgotten about YouTube channel with a new series: #blackgirlwhogardens. It’s fitting since I love to garden and I’m a black girl. Wow, what a concept.

Anyway, this is going to be a short and sweet post: check out the video! Please let me know if you have any tips!

Christmas Morning!

Privyet, family!

I apologize it’s been about a minute since I’ve blogged. The holidays snuck up on us and well, it’s been a little crazy around here!

Anyhoo, I wanted to do a special Christmas post for a while so shout-out to the hubby for shooting us first thing in the morning. I kinda wish I did my hair and at least put on some makeup but then that wouldn’t be the fun of Christmas, right?

So, without further ado, here’s our Christmas morning:

Day Out with Thomas!!

Over the weekend, we surprised Bear with an early birthday gift by treating him to see his favorite homie, Thomas, and his second-favorite, Percy. (He loves Gordon, too, but he wasn’t there.)

First things first, I have to show off the custom-made Thomas shirt I ordered from Etsy:

Cool, huh? To purchase your own, click here.

Here are other pictures from the weekend, taking by my bae:

And of course, I did a vlog capturing everything!

Merry Christmas from the Blussians!

We actually had a really good holiday over here. We celebrated both St. Nick’s (an Ukrainian holiday) and Christmas. For the first time, I’m going to start celebrating Kwanzaa.

Now before any of you give me the proverbial side eye, I need to explain. Growing up, my parents never celebrated Kwanzaa. In fact, they’d never mentioned it. I didn’t learn about it until I was in high school. Over the years, I didn’t celebrate it other than looking up the different meanings for the days and doing my own quiet reflection.

This year, it’s a bit different. While Bear is still relatively young and still don’t know a lot of things, I do want to incorporate Kwanzaa in our winter holidays celebrations. I hope when he gets older and has his own family, he’ll incorporate all of the holidays as well.

Here’s a small video of our St. Nick’s ¬†and Christmas Eve family time. I’ll have another video up this week!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! xoxoxoxo

Vlogmas, Schogmas…

Can I tell you how hard it is to do a daily vlog? We really don’t have anything happening all the time to warrant a daily vlog so this is new to me. But I love a challenge and well, vlogmas is a challenge!

So check out the last two episodes as we’re in the process of making a third one now.

Great news! I finally own a KitchenAid mixer! I am so freakin’ happy about this. Santa came early this year. I’ve always wanted one but never purchased one because I couldn’t decide what color I wanted. My mom gave me great advice – choose a color you’re going to love in 20 years. So I chose Bordeaux. I think I’ll still love it in 20 years.

Nothing new to report here.
