Last week, we went on a family vacation to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway in my hometown. Maks and I were there before as an unmarried couple with no children, so it was nice to go there with Bear. It was also our first time going there when it snowed.
Going up the tram was crazy. There are five towers and each time we passed a tower, we did a little dip. That dip was noticeable.
Obligatory family photo. And yes, I’m bundled up like a snow bunny. I had on about five layers. I don’t do cold, y’all.

There were quite a few fallen trees. It was crazy to see the history within those trees.
Hubby caught me vlogging. And yes, I finally did put up a recent vlog of this!
I took this pic and hubby edited it. One of my favorites!
Always gotta a take a pic of hubby in action!
And of course our standard Bae photo:
And another family photo:
Gosh, I’ve had a lot of fun, even though navigating through the snow was tricky at times. I’m really glad Bear had a legitimate snow experience and not the artificial snow. Can’t wait to go back next year!

I apologize it’s been about a minute since I’ve blogged. The holidays snuck up on us and well, it’s been a little crazy around here!
Anyhoo, I wanted to do a special Christmas post for a while so shout-out to the hubby for shooting us first thing in the morning. I kinda wish I did my hair and at least put on some makeup but then that wouldn’t be the fun of Christmas, right?
So, without further ado, here’s our Christmas morning:
This week on Meet the Blussians (yes, it’s been a while since I’ve done a vlog), we’re teaching you how to say candy. It’s pronounced konfety (think of saying confetti). We also teach you how to say шоколад or chocolate.
I hope you enjoy!
So, a couple months back, we visited the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. I know it’s a been a while since I’ve done a vlog so here it is! I hope you enjoy!
Here are some more pics from our visit!
We actually had a really good holiday over here. We celebrated both St. Nick’s (an Ukrainian holiday) and Christmas. For the first time, I’m going to start celebrating Kwanzaa.
Now before any of you give me the proverbial side eye, I need to explain. Growing up, my parents never celebrated Kwanzaa. In fact, they’d never mentioned it. I didn’t learn about it until I was in high school. Over the years, I didn’t celebrate it other than looking up the different meanings for the days and doing my own quiet reflection.
This year, it’s a bit different. While Bear is still relatively young and still don’t know a lot of things, I do want to incorporate Kwanzaa in our winter holidays celebrations. I hope when he gets older and has his own family, he’ll incorporate all of the holidays as well.
Here’s a small video of our St. Nick’s and Christmas Eve family time. I’ll have another video up this week!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! xoxoxoxo
