Family Vlog – Going to the Tram!

Last week, we went on a family vacation to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway in my hometown. Maks and I were there before as an unmarried couple with no children, so it was nice to go there with Bear. It was also our first time going there when it snowed. Going up the tram was crazy. There are five towers and each time we passed a tower, we did a

Christmas Morning!

Privyet, family! I apologize it's been about a minute since I've blogged. The holidays snuck up on us and well, it's been a little crazy around here! Anyhoo, I wanted to do a special Christmas post for a while so shout-out to the hubby for shooting us first thing in the morning. I kinda wish I did my hair and at least put on some makeup but then that wouldn't be

конфеты

This week on Meet the Blussians (yes, it's been a while since I've done a vlog), we're teaching you how to say candy. It's pronounced konfety (think of saying confetti). We also teach you how to say шоколад or chocolate. I hope you enjoy! [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsxLDy9XHDY&w=560&h=315]

Aquarium of the Pacific visit!

So, a couple months back, we visited the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. I know it's a been a while since I've done a vlog so here it is! I hope you enjoy! Merry Christmas from the Blussians!

We actually had a really good holiday over here. We celebrated both St. Nick's (an Ukrainian holiday) and Christmas. For the first time, I'm going to start celebrating Kwanzaa. Now before any of you give me the proverbial side eye, I need to explain. Growing up, my parents never celebrated Kwanzaa. In fact, they'd never mentioned it. I didn't learn about it until I was in high school. Over the

Meet the Blussians: Light Saber Battle

So last Friday, the three of us went to the Light Saber Battle in Downtown L.A. Yeah, you read that right - a Light Saber Battle. I wasn't able to get any light sabers for myself (by the time I shopped for some, the last one left was a really cool Darth Vader one that $50. Yeah. Even though we had $50, I couldn't fathom spending that much on

Festival of Lights parade!

Over the weekend, Bear and I went on a day trip to Palm Springs to see the Festival of Lights parade. It was Bear's first time seeing it and he loved it! Here are a couple of pics - [gallery ids="1481,1482" type="rectangular"] On the left is my mom and I, and of course the second pic is Bear and me. Here's the youtube adventures. Again, nothing too exciting but I just wanted to

Vlogmas, Schogmas…

Can I tell you how hard it is to do a daily vlog? We really don't have anything happening all the time to warrant a daily vlog so this is new to me. But I love a challenge and well, vlogmas is a challenge! So check out the last two episodes as we're in the process of making a third one now. Great news! I finally own a KitchenAid mixer! I

Happy Birthday, Bear!

This past Saturday marked Bear's 2nd birthday. We decided to do something small because he's just turning 2. Nothing against those who do big parties for their toddlers, but we'll probably start doing those once he's in preschool/child care so he has more friends of his age to play with. In surprising news, my racist-in-denial in-laws decided they actually want to be grandparents for a change. Yeah, you read that

Biracial Hair Care Review Part Deux

I'm starting to get the hang of this whole vlog thing. Anyhoo, I reviewed the Kinky Curly detangling cream. I actually use it for my hair and I really liked it so I tried it on Bo's hair. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mWZz5YD4No&w=560&h=315] IMHO, I think the Cantu actually worked better. Not sure because it's actually designed for kids as oppose to Kinky Curly which is designed for everyone. I also purposely kept this video instead
