I type this post every year, but every year it rings true: your New Year's resolutions are trash. Basura caliente.
I'm not going to rehash what I literally wrote just a year ago, but I will emphasize why everyone should do quarterly goals instead a year-long resolution.
Quarterly goals makes you work smarter, not harder. You have 90 days to get your act together and not a day more.

Tis the season to blow money....fa la la la la la la la...
With #blacklivesmatter being prominent this year and the protests have significantly slowed down, the support of the Black community is stronger than ever.
It doesn't mean #blacklivesmatter was only a summer thing; it's everyday life. Here are some Black-owned brands I have personally patronized and can say it with my whole chest you need to support. Let's
Seven years ago, Bear was born a week before Maks's birthday. They never really celebrated their birthdays together but we've always honored them.
I like to take the time to reflect on my family. I don't really speak on my family very much on the blog, but I'm so appreciative of them. This year has really taught me what is important and what isn't. Just being so close
I need to preface by saying we don't got it like that. Therefore, don't ask for money.
Backstory: We had a leased 2017 Kia Sorento, fully-loaded. Y'all...I loved that car. Loved it, loved it, loved it. We wanted to buy it and were serious about purchasing it. When we inquired about it the first time, the sales people at a local Kia told us it wouldn't make sense from
I'm going to start highlighting Black authors and even some Black-owned bookstores (if I can get to them in person, if not, I'll just do a virtual recommendation).
I figured since protesting is starting to become more dangerous and performative; more about people wanting to look like they were out fighting the power, but not really being about that life, here is an alternative.

Years ago, we decided to cut the cord. We were hipsters before the term became relevant. During that time, the choices were very limited and we ended up going back to cable a short time later.
Around last year, we decided paying a 200+ cable bill really wasn't in our best interest so we cut the cord again. We also picked up a host of streaming options such as
Over the weekend, the world was shocked to learn of the sudden passing of actor Chadwick Boseman. He was a magnificent talent and just an all-around good guy. We were astounded to learn how he made some of his greatest work as he battled a very aggressive form of colon cancer.
As I sat in both amazement and grief, I was truly impressed by Chadwick’s team. Those who knew of
I love supporting just about anything that is Black-owned and being a cheap wine connoisseur, I was looking for a Black-owned wine to support!
In support of Black-owned brands, I was super jazzed to see the McBride Sisters' brand at my local Total Wine and More. I'm usually a cheap wine gal - under 7 dollars is usually my jam - but I decided to "splurge" on this brand.
It's been a topic that's bothered me for a long while and I figured now was the time to address it and get it out.
My husband, Maks, is Ukrainian-Russian. He received his US citizenship about 13 years ago, a year before we met. He comes from Lviv, Ukraine. When he came over, it was really just him, his brother, and parents.
Eastern Europe is known to be heavily racist.
