Yes, believe it or not, I don't just talk shit on here. I actually DO things! And one of the things I do is create children's activity books for sale! This is a passion project of mine as I always wanted to create children's books. Soon, I hope, I will have another children's book for sale. How to Raise a Happy Child (without breaking the bank!)

Over the years, I’ve been complimented a lot on how Bear is happy and well-adjusted. In fact, that’s probably one of the common things a lot of people say when they meet Bear. He’s very happy and it’s not contrived. He really likes being around people and seeing/experiencing new things, even if I sometimes have to convince him to do it.  I wish I could say I have a magic

Recommended Books and Workbooks!

It's that most wonderful time of the year where I get to recommend some of our favorite books and workbooks. These are all books and workbooks we actually own so I can definitely recommend them to everyone. I hope you get the same enjoyment out of them as we have. With that being said, let's gooooooooo! Wine Cork Easter egg Stamping

So fun and easy for you and the kids (or adults!) Keeping Bear off the iPad and computer takes a bit more effort nowadays. However, he's always down to have some fun painting and doing crafts. I looked up some crafts online and found a great one and it doesn't take that long to do! All you need is: Paint Wine corks (preferably 6-8) Paper Pen or pencil to draw the eggs Instructions: Draw an

So, we made a Black History Month door. It was awesome.

Bear had a voluntary school project in creating a Black History door. Normally, he and his class would create one at school but since we're still under Trump's pandemic, we're at home creating one. After going back and forth about who the door should be on - and we had a lot of choices - Bear decided on Vice President Kamala Harris. I picked up a special edition magazine

Storytime with the Beverly Hills Public Library!

So, I might be a little bias in writing this post. Maks works for the City of Beverly Hills. Bear and I have frequented the library a lot when he was a baby and hopefully it'll be safe to go back at some point. But that's not the point of this post! They have a neat little story time program that's absolutely FREE to watch anywhere! Just click and

#blacklivesmatter – The Undefeated

I'm going to start highlighting Black authors and even some Black-owned bookstores (if I can get to them in person, if not, I'll just do a virtual recommendation). I figured since protesting is starting to become more dangerous and performative; more about people wanting to look like they were out fighting the power, but not really being about that life, here is an alternative. We received a copy of
