About 10 years ago (crazy, huh?), I started this blog to document my high-risk pregnancy with Bear. Back then, there wasn’t too much information about high-risk pregnancies other than some online groups. While I had something in common with those groups, I needed an outlet to share and document my journey.
Thus this blog was born.
This blog has undergone a lot of name changes. Some of you might remember when it was called Diva Angel Mama. Then, I changed the name to Meet the Blussians (a nickname coined by Bear’s godparents). Once the Russian invasion of Ukraine happened, I decided to change the name again and make it a bit more permanent – Ksenfully Good – a play on my last name.
I did weekly updates about getting a cerclage, talking about my deceased son, Ethan, and what I hoped what motherhood would look like.
I did fun posts like That One Time We Gave Bear a New Bedroom.
I did serious and solemn posts like Does Painful Loss Really Get Any Easier Over Time?
I also did rather controversial posts like This is Why Jessie Lee Ward’s Death was Stupidly Preventable.
I did it for fun, honestly. I didn’t make any money, and it was more of a hobby than anything. I wasn’t trying to make any money from it. But, what I did gain was a following and a rather huge one.
Back then, not too many women documented their pregnancy the way it’s so commonplace now. Amazing, how much difference 10 years really does make in the social media sphere. And quiet as its kept, not too many women still talk about their high-risk pregnancies and cerclage outside of private groups.
Over the years, this blog has grown in subscriptions and readership, and I can honestly say I’m starting to make quite a bit of money from it. It went from a hobby to part-time work, to now it’s a full-time business.
So, what’s the future of this blog? Well, a whole lot.
I branched out into home decor and creating low-content journals and books. The cats have their own YouTube shorts because they’re so popular. I’m posting more recipes and Mommy life hacks. I have a few more announcements in the making and I’ll be so jazzed to share it with all of you!
I probably will become even more controversial with my views and topics. Don’t worry, I won’t be like a certain author who is grossly transphobic, nor would I make any racist, sexist, homophobic views. That’s beyond ick and not my style.
However, if people do bad things, I will call them out. And if people are upset by what I said, well, they’re just gonna be big mad behind a computer screen, IDGAF.
This blog will get a website makeover probably within the next few weeks. I plan to focus more on being a mom and having a great life. I hope to share life-hacks I’ve learned, stole, and applied. I hope to have more of a Bear presence on here. And I hope all of you will be here for the ride!
Cheers to a beautiful and bright future!
