I think I just found a new favorite.
As I mentioned before, finding a great leave-in can be rather a chore. You have to have something that conditions your hair but is not overpowering or sticky. It's tough in these natural streets!
I found a great leave-in for not only myself, but really, for my entire family! Yeah, when I saw this works on all hair types, I sincerely mean that.
ALL.

So, mattes and bold colors are trending this year. Kinda odd if you think about it? Two shades that are on the opposite spectrums are trending and in a big way!
Recently, I had the honor to have enough money to do some splurging (and believe me, both colors were splurges) to go drop some cash at the local Sephora. Let's check out NARS first.
I'm a huge NARS fan. I
So, I'm sure you've heard by now the major faux pas done by Shea Moisture. If you haven't heard, here's a brief refresher:
They posted this ad, which is harmless on the front of it. Of course, the core Shea Moisture demographic are black women who look more like me and less like a biracial woman with Type 3 hair. And naturally, darker-skinned black women with Type 4 hair have
It's taken me some years to realize it but after not having a traditional job for several years now and no plans to go back to the working field yet, I like experimenting with my look.
Where I'm at, spiritually speaking, is different from where I was even a year ago. I'm finally at peace and accepted everything there is to accept. It's part of the long-term growing pains.
So, I
So yesterday, I posted my first article on Medium. Yay for expanding!
Anyway, I'll link to the article but here is the beginning of it. This story is dedicated to the good children, who kept their noses clean, never got into trouble, and still had to clean up the bullshit from their siblings.
This is for you, baby.
I’m sure everyone by now has heard of the story of the Prodigal Son.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary sample of Eva NYC on behalf of Influenster. All opinions are mine.
Whenever I hear about a hair company that brags that their product is for all hair types, I'm skeptical. Let's face it, Type 4 hair isn't the same manageability as Type 2 or Type 3. Thick, coarse, and textured are usually the descriptions that come to mind.
So, when Eva NYC claimed they could

Whenever I buy a car, it's always a car that I love. Not a car that I just like. Not a car that's okay. I have to be in love with the car. I don't change cars often and when once I do get them, I tend to keep that car for a while.
Let me explain...the last time I purchased a car was back in 2006 and it
Over the weekend, we visited the Ukrainian Culture Center here in L.A. for their Easter festivities. There were no Easter bunnies but there were plenty of eggs (eggs are a huge thing in the Ukrainian culture).
We went to enjoy some great entertainment and food (oh m gee...the food was bomb!). Bear wasn't interested in face painting but he took in all of the sights and sounds. Maks spoke with
