This past weekend, I decided to play with my makeup a tad. So let’s start off with the first product review, which is the Raizin blush by MAC.

Now, I’ve never really been partial to blushes. Not that I love or hate them, but I’ve been been pretty indifferent to them. It’s one of those things I don’t have to have in my makeup harmony. But it’s okay. I can’t miss what I normally don’t have, right?

How naive I was.

On the advice and curiosity of a fabulous sister blog, I decided to try this out for myself.

Amazeballs.

For starters, it’s very rich so you don’t have to use a whole lot. I can say in comparison to a similar brand and price range to NARS, the MAC blushes are definitely worth the money ($22). Yes, you read that right. The blush is in the double digits. However, you’re paying for quality here. And this quality will last a long time. Keep in mind, this is something everyone is seeing on your face so it will matter in the long run.

I took this picture in natural light so you can see how it looks in a realistic setting. I’m wearing MAC lip glass in Shockolate as the base and Oh Baby! on top.

Speaking of lip color and the purpose of this post…

I wanted to experiment with my lips more. As I stated in a previous post, instead of trying to take the focus away from my lips, I began to embrace them more. (When you’re teased as child for your full lips, it takes a while to appreciate them.)

So, I decided to play with my lips creating a day/night look. Now, I’m wearing NARS tinted moisturizer, Too Faced Natural Eyes makeup, the lovely MAC Raizin blush, and Maybelline mascara. Yes, Maybelline. (I don’t like fake eyelashes on me so you probably won’t ever see me review them.)

For context, the pic on the left was taken sometime in the early afternoon. The picture on the right was taken in late afternoon/early evening. I’m wearing NYX’s Black Cherry Tart.

Amazing how one simple look can make such a huge impact? Insanity.

Thank you for stopping by! The next review will be of Camille Rose’s Curl Milk!

If there are any products you want me to review, please drop a suggestion! I would love to try!
